The High Mountain Court - Review

The High Mountain Court (The Five Crowns of Okrith, #1)The High Mountain Court by A.K. Mulford
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received an ARC of this title directly from the author.

Really enjoyed this indie book. It’s high fantasy but I didn’t get lost in the details, which I’m prone to doing. There’s fae, witches, impossible heists, battles, adventure, love interests and spice!

The last two chapters I was brought to tears. Maybe I’m sensitive 😂 but I did fall in love with each of the characters. Seeing Remy on the prequel cover, oh my word. I wish I’d seen that first. I was picturing someone very different but the way she actually looks is amazing. I really hope there’s more artwork in the works. It would be neat to see the other characters. Oh and a map would be cool too!

I could see each scene play out clearly in my mind. Could definitely see this story played out on the big screen. I didn’t see quite a few things coming which is a breath of fresh air.

The biggest sign that this was a good read? I dreamt about it. Legitimately had it stuck in my head that I dreamt about the characters in a heated battle! That NEVER happens. I am so excited to read more of AK Mulford’s work!
