Book Review - The Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman

Thunderhead (Arc of a Scythe, #2)Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book made me cry today.

spoiler: *mournful downpour*

The first book in the Arc of Scythe of course has been the best so far, but this second book, Thunderhead, was good in its own way. Very plot driven. So much going on, but each bit essential for the story. I enjoyed getting the different viewpoints that we did. Especially the Thunderhead's.

Shusterman really knows how to make you dislike a character but also he leaves little windows open, small glimpses into their humanity and you hope they can redeem themselves.

By the end of this book not only was I in tears, but I understood gleaning a bit differently. No longer do I view it as un-needed blood lust, now there's a different meaning. Get to the last chapter, and you'll see.

Now onto The Toll and then Gleanings. I've got a road ahead of me *hesitant smile*
