The Southern Book Club's Guide To Hunting Vampires - Review

The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying VampiresThe Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ahhh…. ๐Ÿ˜Œ another great read by Grady Hendrix. I read My Best Friend’s Exorcism first. Which was a good choice. Both books are set in the same neighborhood years apart.

I know I reference Practical Magic a lot but I’m gonna do it again with this one. Mostly just the scene with the women coming together united against an evil man. Girl power!

There are some grotesque things that happen in this story. It’s a little explicit but could be much more. So check the trigger warnings. There’s assault, grooming etc.

My favorite character was Kitty. She’s a badass. You’ll see why.

I would definitely reading this book. I finished it within a few days. The character development is good and the pacing is very good. The 90s references were fantastic. And honestly I like books so reading about a book club with women my age, it just was such good fun ๐Ÿ˜Š
